It was a great sadness to see such a vibrant friend decline. It was so unfair. I will always smile when thinking of Gordon. We connected over our cats. Me looking after his and he mine. Gordon and Denise were the first in the village to invite us in, give us two kittens and suggest a place in the choir (but only if I were a soprano) and we stayed friends ever since.
